Terms of service

These terms describe how you may use Footwear Future websites, create an account, register for events, and purchase tickets. They are provided as a working template and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before you rely on them in production.

By creating an account, completing checkout, or using our services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.

1. Who we are

"Footwear Future," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Footwear Future public website, member dashboard, and related event services (collectively, the "Services"). Contact details for operational questions are on our contact page.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Services. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date.

Sign-in methods

  • Email and password, where enabled for your account
  • Magic link sent to your email address
  • Google sign-in, if you choose to connect that provider

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Event listings, tickets, and payments

Events, agendas, speakers, and ticket types are published for information and may change before or during an event. Availability is not guaranteed until your order is confirmed.

Purchases

  • Prices and fees shown at checkout are what we intend to charge for that order
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe; you may be redirected to Stripe Checkout
  • Promotional pricing or codes apply only when shown as active at checkout
  • Refund and transfer rules may vary by event and are stated at purchase where applicable

Tickets and check-in credentials are personal to the registered attendee unless an event explicitly allows transfers. Misuse, duplication, or resale in breach of event rules may result in cancellation without refund where permitted by law.

4. On-site check-in and conduct

Staff may scan ticket QR codes or look up references to check attendees in or out. You agree to follow venue rules, staff directions, and applicable health and safety requirements at events.

We may refuse entry or remove participants who endanger others, harass staff or attendees, or otherwise violate reasonable event conduct standards.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not probe, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or accounts
  • Do not upload malware, unlawful content, or material that infringes others’ rights
  • Do not scrape or automate access in a way that impairs service for others
  • Do not misrepresent your identity, company, or affiliation when registering or exhibiting

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, or risk to the platform or events.

6. Content and intellectual property

Footwear Future branding, site design, editorial content, and event materials are owned by us or our licensors unless stated otherwise. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to access the Services for personal or authorized business use.

If you submit content (for example through forms or partner applications), you grant us a license to use it to operate and promote the Services, subject to our Privacy policy.

7. Third-party services

The Services integrate with providers such as Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Google (optional sign-in). Their terms and privacy practices apply when you interact with them. We are not responsible for third-party sites linked from our pages.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services and event information are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, except where such exclusion is prohibited. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to a paid order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order in the twelve months before the claim, unless a higher minimum is required by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will apply from that date; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may discontinue features or accounts with reasonable notice where practical.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Footwear Future’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
